I teach Jazzercise on Monday and Wednesday at 5:40 p.m. I've been teaching for a while now and love it! I am recovering from a knee injury and I didn't get to teach for around 4 months and I missed it terribly (and my waistline missed it too). If you're not familiar with Jazzercise...check it out! It's a GREAT workout and, if you like to dance, you'll love it!
Tonight I was reminded how much the music we work out to helps make it all fun. One of our speakers at the center "blew," and we were down to one speaker. That's ok - it wasn't as loud as usual, but we can roll with it. On my very last cardio, the second speaker stopped. It happened to stop on the song "She Wolf" by Shakira. My class thought it was funny when I tried to sing the song, but somehow something was lost in the translation. We ended up finding an ipod docking station and finishing the hour with that! But, it made me realize how much enjoying exercise makes it so much more tolerable!
I have a great class who really hung in there with me! Like I said on Facebook, "hey, we worked out...what did you do tonight?"
Working out for me is VERY important. I missed it so much (both mentally and physically) when my knee was making my life difficult. So, if you're don't exercise, get up and do something. It'll help you have a better outlook on life! And, the added benefit may be those jeans fitting a little better!
