Fall is here in full-blast in the midwest! First let me say, I like FALL. I like apple cider, I like fires in the fire pit outside and making s'mores. I love pumpkins and caramel apples. I love Halloween! But, that's where my love affair with the fall/winter season ends. I don't like winter. No, I LOATHE winter. I hate being cold. I hate having to wear a coat. I hate snow and ice. I'm not even a huge fan of the winter holidays.
Don't get me wrong, I love the idea of Thanksgiving. I mean - who doesn't like to eat? I also love the MEANING of Thanksgiving. We all need to be thankful for everything that we are blessed with in love.
I also love the idea of Christmas - the TRUE IDEA of Christmas. But, the problem is Christmas has lost its true meaning. Today it's all about gifts and parties, etc. Does anyone even remember the real meaning of Christmas - you know - that little baby in a manger?
But, back to my point. Fall is upon us in the midwest. It's been cold enough for a few fires in the fireplace. Pumpkins are on my front porch and the halloween decorations are out. This weekend, I have a halloween party to go to! So, this only means that WINTER is around the bend. Ugh - I feel the depression coming on!
So, I decided to start blogging again. I used to blog a lot on myspace. But, then I became a Facebook addict and stopped blogging. Blogging helped me through some very difficult times. Then, I got happy again and I didn't really have a lot to say.
I'm still happy. But, I figure blogging is a good outlet for my energy! HA HA!
So, happy Fall! Happy Halloween (I'm going to be a sexy waitress and Chris is going to be a randy chef!) And, feel free to check in and see what I'm yapping about tomorrow!
